Sweet Home Alabama

We have arrived! We took about 10 days to get from SF to Alabama and along the way we saw some beautiful things.  We last left off after we had just arrived in Denver, and we're so happy we decided to spend 4 days there.  We got to spend some time with family and friends, and we feel so lucky to have some amazing people in our lives who will take our jobless selves in and make us delicious and elaborate home cooked meals.... and never skimp on the wine either :)

Dinner at the Hinkel's: French 75's, Reunion sourdough, not Khammany's lasagna, and a '99 Barbaresco.

After Denver, we took two days to reach Alabama and only stopped when absolutely necessary: to fill up the gas tank, for bathroom breaks, one night of sleep, and for beignets in New Orleans (priorities).

Alabama is where Zach's family is and officially our new home base while we convert our Ford Transit Cargo Van into a full on Camper Van. The build is starting now & we can't wait to share all the progress we'll make in the next week!

Fun Fact: The homes along this river are the only ones in the U.S. to receive their mail by boat.

Our new home! Can't wait to see how much she'll change over the next month or so!
